augh... just got off the phone w/my dear friend "D". the one w/all the troubles. Most of you know of whom i speak.

he was telling me that an attractive girl called and asked him to go out w/her and he never returned her 2 calls. he cited being broke. this was BEFORE his most recent problem.

what am i gonna DO with this guy. i think some people like to be miserable. he never tries to help himself.

he needs his friends and i'll do anything to help him, but damn.

even that time i had to bitchslap him didn't help.

i hurt my back trying to work on my girlish figger at the gym today. it feels like i'm getting kindey punched every few minutes. dammit. perfect tiime right before a move into the hosue next week.

I Downloaded an entire DVD of XTC live in 1980. XTC is one of the reasons why i first bought a computer in the first place. They had a fan website w/new of that most elusive of bands waaaaay back in 1993.

i've ordered a set of cast lead figurines of XTC in about 1980 (White Music) Kind of like the old toy soldiers. limited edition 200 sets. about 100 bucks.

Mike Henry may be Star Wars, gimme XTC any day.

i'm beginning to see how people and myself in particular take use emotional pain as a way to define themselves. i guess i've been guilty of that from time to time. it's time to stop that nonsense.

i just got word that a very dear friend is losing her relationship. i feel so bad for her. the holidays are bad enough and i guess that pain is still close enough to the surface that i can feel it too.

i went to Longbranch afterwards whereupon i got into a one-sided argument w/Brian Bowden on the merits of the Pixies (WAY OVERRRATED).

music, like all art is a subjective medium, but that didn't stop Brian from hurling personal insults at me. fortunately i've had enough of these kind of pointless arguments to be totally emotionally disconnected.

we ended up all Wine and Roses at the end of the night. but i'll debate the merits or nonmerits of any band. i'm nearly as old as Rock and Roll itself. i'll throw up my trivia knowledege against ANYONE.

okay, so one of the reasons why THIS particular holiday season will suck is that the person i'd rather be with more than anything in the entire world isn't here.
She lives in Boulder, CO. I'll probably never see her again. At least not on purpose.

The last time i ever saw her i took her to see Saul Williams at the Boulder Theatre.

now i'm on the mailing list and no matter how many times i hit "Reply w/REMOVE in the Subject line" they never take me off the mailing list.

i just got another one.

the holidays are going to suck. they do every year. no matter what. the only things that would make 'em batter are only things money can't buy.
